IC Partners works with industry groups, academic partners and government initiatives to promote advances in compliance and conduct thinking, emphasising the importance of diversity and sustainability.
Innovate Compliance is excited to be part of the Women Pivoting to Digital Taskforce. The Taskforce is a collaborative initiative to bring more attention to and action around supporting women from non-technical backgrounds to career change into technology roles.
[See here for press release].
The aim of the Taskforce is to address the underrepresentation of women working in digital careers by providing women with vital skills to future proof the digital workforce.
The importance of diversity of thought and perspective in leadership, risk and specialist roles is emphasised in academic study, sustainable investment theories and industry analysis (take a look at this report from the Institute of Risk Management, and this article in the International Review of Economics and Finance). It is vital that our future leaders are competent, and confident, to speak on technology and can integrate AI and other disruptive technologies into their long term strategies, and efforts to ensure that women upskill their digital acumen will keep them competitive in strategic and risk management roles as well as developing the grass roots pipeline, attracting women into specialist roles at foundational and intermediate levels. It is too easy for women to get left behind as the industry, and society, shifts ever further into the digital age. The Taskforce's efforts to redress the balance before it tips are both vital and laudable, and Innovate Compliance is proud to be involved.
